The DJI Air 2S packs a 1-inch camera sensor and 5.4K video into a folding drone that fits easily in a daypack. It suits travellers, content creators and property photographers who want a clear step up in image quality from entry-level drones without moving to a larger aircraft. Order online here and it’s sent straight to you.
Why choose the DJI Air 2S
The headline is the 1-inch sensor. Larger pixels capture more light and dynamic range, which shows up as cleaner skies, better shadow detail and less noise at sunrise and sunset. Stills come in at 20MP, and video reaches 5.4K, giving you room to crop or stabilise in editing.
Video shooters also get 10-bit D-Log and HLG profiles. These hold more colour information, so footage stands up to grading and matches more easily with clips from your ground cameras.

Smart features that save time
Not every flight needs a carefully planned manual move. Automated modes produce polished results quickly, which helps when you’re working alone or chasing fading light at the end of the day.
- MasterShots flies a sequence of moves and edits them into a short clip
- FocusTrack follows a subject while you concentrate on framing
- Hyperlapse and QuickShots create dynamic shots with a few taps
- Obstacle sensing in four directions adds a safety buffer
Who it suits
Choose it if you’ve outgrown a smaller beginner drone and want images that hold up on a large screen or in print. It’s also a practical tool for real estate, tourism and small business marketing, where a compact kit and quick setup matter.
Because it weighs more than 250 grams, check CASA’s registration and accreditation requirements before using it for any paid work. Recreational pilots still need to follow the standard drone safety rules on every flight.
Getting the most from your drone
Carry at least two spare batteries, since good light rarely waits for a recharge. Shoot D-Log only when you plan to grade, and use ND filters on bright days to keep motion looking natural. Update firmware at home before a trip so you aren’t waiting on downloads in the field.
Frequently asked questions
What is the transmission range of the DJI Air 2S?
DJI quotes up to 12 km of 1080p video transmission in ideal conditions. Real-world interference usually reduces that, and you must keep the drone within visual line of sight anyway, so the strong link mainly means a steadier, clearer feed.
How long does the DJI Air 2S fly on one battery?
DJI rates maximum flight time at around 31 minutes in still conditions. Wind, temperature and how hard you fly all reduce that in practice, so plan on spare batteries for longer shoots.
Is the DJI Air 2S good for beginners?
Yes. Automated modes, obstacle sensing and return to home make it forgiving to learn on, while the larger sensor means you won’t outgrow the camera quickly. Practise in open areas away from people while you build confidence.
Does the DJI Air 2S shoot RAW photos?
Yes. It captures 20MP stills in RAW as well as JPEG, giving you more latitude to recover highlights and shadows when editing landscapes, property or high-contrast scenes.
Can I ask the team questions first?
Yes. Our team is available through live chat if you’d like advice on batteries, filters or cases. When you’re ready, checkout is secure and shipping is calculated before you pay.
