The SwellPro FD1 battery is the 6500mAh high-voltage flight pack made for the SwellPro Fisherman fishing drone. It’s shaped to fit the Fisherman’s internal battery chamber and helps you get the most flight time from each launch. Buy spares online here with secure checkout.

Why anglers buy a spare SwellPro FD1 battery

Drone fishing sessions rarely go to plan. The bite might come on at the turn of the tide, or the first few drops might come back empty. With extra packs charged and ready, you can keep sending baits out while conditions are right instead of heading home early.

Spares also take the pressure off each flight. When another SwellPro FD1 battery is waiting in the bag, it’s easier to bring the drone back with a sensible reserve rather than stretching a pack for one more run.

Specifications that matter

The SwellPro FD1 battery is a 4S lithium-polymer high-voltage pack, so it needs a charger that supports LiHV cells. Its shape matches the Fisherman’s internal chamber, which is why a generic pack isn’t a substitute.

Charging, storage and travel

Charge with the charger SwellPro supplies or recommends for the Fisherman, as LiHV packs need the correct charge voltage. Charge on a non-flammable surface, never leave a charging pack unattended, and let a hot battery cool before plugging it in.

Between trips, store packs part-charged in a cool, dry place out of direct sun. Salt spray is hard on contacts, so wipe the battery and chamber dry after each session and check for corrosion. Retire any pack that swells, cracks or loses capacity quickly.

At 98.8Wh, each pack sits under the 100Wh threshold many airlines use for carry-on lithium batteries. Rules vary, so check with your airline and keep spares in your cabin bag with the terminals protected.

Packing for a fishing session

A practical drone fishing kit includes the Fisherman, two or three charged packs, the charger, spare propellers, your release rigs and a towel to dry hands and gear. Keep batteries in a shaded, ventilated bag rather than on hot sand or a sunny boat deck.

Frequently asked questions

Will the SwellPro FD1 battery fit other SwellPro drones?

It’s designed specifically for the SwellPro Fisherman’s internal battery chamber. Other SwellPro models, such as the SplashDrone series, use their own packs, so check your aircraft and ask our team if you’re unsure.

How many SwellPro FD1 battery packs should I carry?

Most anglers find two or three packs give a comfortable session, with one charging while another flies. If you fish remote beaches, a portable power station can keep packs topped up between drops.

What does 4S LiHV mean?

4S means four cells in series, giving the 15.2 V rating. LiHV stands for lithium high voltage, a lithium-polymer chemistry charged to a higher voltage per cell than standard LiPo, which is why it needs a compatible charger.

When will I see the shipping cost?
