The SwellPro PL2 payload release adds a bait or gear drop and a fixed live-view camera to your SplashDrone 3+. It’s built for anglers and water-safety users who need to see exactly where a payload lands. Order it online here with secure checkout and turn your drone into a delivery tool.
Why choose the SwellPro PL2 payload release
Dropping a bait blind is guesswork. With the SwellPro PL2 payload release, the camera feed shows you the water below, so you can line up a reef edge, gutter or drifting target before you let go. You get two jobs, seeing and dropping, from one waterproof module.
The camera angle is set by hand before take-off. Point it straight down at 90 degrees to see directly beneath the drone, or tilt it forward to watch your approach. Its 110-degree field of view gives wide coverage of the surface.

- Placing lines precisely along reefs, gutters and drop-offs
Specs that matter when you buy
SwellPro lists a 1 kg payload take-off weight, a 340 mm release line and a module weight of 134 g. The unit measures 120 x 70 x 38 mm, and the camera runs on 12V with a 656 x 492 NTSC image.
Because it’s a fixed camera made for live viewing, it’s best for positioning rather than cinematic footage. If you also want recorded footage, look at SwellPro’s gimbal camera options for the SplashDrone 3+.
Frequently asked questions
Which drone does the SwellPro PL2 payload release fit?
It’s designed for the SwellPro SplashDrone 3+. If you fly a different SwellPro model, such as the Fisherman, check with our team, as other releases are made for those aircraft.
Can I adjust the camera on the SwellPro PL2 payload release mid-flight?
No. The angle is set manually before flight. Choose 90 degrees to look straight down for accurate drops, or a shallower angle if you want to watch where you’re heading.
How heavy a load can the SwellPro PL2 payload release carry?
Stay within SwellPro’s listed 1 kg payload take-off weight, and remember that wind and line drag add load. Lighter payloads leave more battery reserve for the flight home.
Can I ask about setup before ordering?
Yes. Our team is on live chat and can help with setup and compatibility questions. When you’re ready, checkout is secure and shipping is calculated before you pay.
